Apprentice Tool Maker
The apprentice will receive on the job training as part of a team throughout the apprenticeship
This will include learning how to set up and operate milling machines and spark eroders, inspecting tools using a Faro arm and other measuring equipment, assisting in the drawing office with design using CAD software, making components, stripping and building tools from 1T to 30T, and other functions such as operating a gundrill, polishing etc to expose the apprentice to all aspects of the company, followed by mutual agreement on the best area(s) to focus on and achieve further experience and skill, as part of the development and training programme
Training:
This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering Campus. This attendance is required during term time only
You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession
You will experience a blended learning model
Training Outcome:
Potentially full time employment upon successfully completing apprenticeship

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 4.00pm and Friday, 7.30am - 1.30pm
