Apprentice industrial electrician Manufacturing and Support Technician

Apprentices will work with a qualified electrician primarily on electrical installation work for a period before moving towards more fault-finding and maintenance work. There are more tasks and learning opportunities for a beginner on this type of work and this is necessary as maintenance work requires a better understanding of safety procedures and technical skills that come with time.

There are times when overtime is needed to finish a job and ensure our customers can deliver the supplies required by their customers.

Although most work is local, there is occasionally work away, sometimes requiring overnight stays.

There are also job cards and reports to be written up and generally keeping the workshop and stores tidy.

The apprentice must also complete a portfolio of descriptions and drawings and photographic evidence of the different types of jobs carried out during the training.

Training:

Block release delivery with North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College - Mira Technology Institue (A5 Nuneaton) Monday - Thursday every 6 week learning cycles. 

Training Outcome:
A job where you can be in charge of your own job, make your own decisions but still have the support of EEP behind you. Full-time position for the right candidate.

Employer Description:
Approximately four year apprenticeship covering engineering and electrical roles required to support our customers who work in many different manufacturing processes. These include automotive, aerospace, heat treatment, casting, toolmaking, printing, sheet metal fabrication, plastic injection moulding and recycling industries. Most of the work is carried out in our customers premises, mainly local but sometimes further afield.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm. Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm. Lunch Break 30 Minutes.
