Reception and telephone duties
Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice
Receive and make calls as required
Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery
Cover all reception duties / tasks as necessary
Deal with general enquiries
Data input / quality
Registrations of new patients - data entry and medical records
Process patients change of address
Process repeat prescription request in accordance with practice guidelines
Ensure all scanned data is attached to the correct patient
To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures
Accurate scanning, completion and filing of electronic records
Deal with inbound and outbound post
Ensure that stock and supplies are replaced
Training Outcome:
Fully qualified Medical Receptionist with the opportunity over time for further career development
Employer Description:
We are a Wigan town centre based GP practice, providing high quality care to our 7900 patients.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday. A mix between early starts and late finishes covering practice opening hours of 8.00am - 6.30pm.
