Because of continued demand of their services, this employer is actively recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.Working in the Service Department, the successful Mechanical Technician will work within a skilled team and be responsible for servicing, repairing and overhauling industrial gearboxes to an OEM condition.Based in BROMSGROVE just a few miles from the M5 Motorway, the successful Mechanical Technician will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Redditch, Droitwich Spa, Kidderminster, Stourbridge and Birmingham.The Mechanical Technician will:

NOT ESSENTIAL: Possess formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or similar (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HNC, HND or equivalent)
Have stable work history with experience working as a Mechanical Technician, Fitter, Assembler or similar within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ideally have experience working with some form of rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, valves, compressors, turbines, fans or similar

Working Hours of the Mechanical Technician: Regular day shift working 39 hours per week

Monday to Thursday – 08:00 to 17:00
Friday – 08:00 to 15:45

Flexibility to occasionally work on site is required (minimal)In return, the Mechanical Technician will receive:

Base Salary: Between £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience
Guaranteed £2000 Bonus paid in December
Generous Pension Scheme: 25% Final Salary (Employer Contribution: 17% / Employee Contribution: 8%)
Holiday Allowance: 34 Days (including public holidays) rising with continued service
Ongoing training & skill development
