About the Opportunity

We are hiring for an iconic luxury hotel in Vancouver seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Engineering to support the leadership of all engineering and maintenance operations.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role will oversee preventative maintenance programs, building systems, capital projects, team leadership, and regulatory compliance while helping ensure exceptional guest experiences throughout the property. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader looking to join a prestigious hospitality operation and contribute to the ongoing success of a landmark hotel.

Requirements

Power Engineer Certification (Minimum 4th Class, 2nd Class preferred)5+ years of engineering leadership experience within hotels, resorts, or large commercial propertiesStrong knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsProven experience leading engineering and maintenance teamsExperience managing preventative maintenance programs and asset preservationExposure to capital projects, budgeting, and operational planningStrong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standardsExperience working within a unionized environment is an assetExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
