Groundworker Apprentice

Assist with site preparation and clearance before construction work begins Dig trenches and excavations for foundations, drainage and utilities Help install drainage systems, pipes and underground services Prepare and lay concrete, kerbs, paving and other groundwork materials Operate and maintain hand tools and small plant equipment safely Load, unload and move materials around the site Follow health, safety and environmental procedures at all times Work alongside experienced groundworkers to learn industry skills and techniques Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised Attend college or training sessions as part of the apprenticeship programme

Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress into a full-time Groundworker position Further development could include gaining additional plant and machinery qualifications, becoming a skilled Groundworker or Site Supervisor

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm. Working on construction sites and attending training as part of the apprenticeship programme.
