Grounds Maintenance Apprentice

As Grounds Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for keeping our customers sites looking great, including the following:

Using mechanical lawn mowers, strimmer's, leaf blowers and hedge cutters and other tools Control weeds through careful chemical treatment (when qualified) Use our scheduling and reporting app to record what you've done Leave work areas clean, tidy and well maintained Comply with Health & Safety procedures and instructions Learn about and operate sustainable working practices You will provide management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site issues. Additional duties dependant on client site Work as part of a team

Training:

You will spend 20% of your training on learning and developing the required knowledge, skills and  behaviours,  which  will  take  place  out  of  the  workplace  and  can  be  in  a  variety  of  ways  such  as;  at  college, online or face to face training and self-study time. The successful candidate will undergo a Level 2 apprenticeship scheme in Horticulture and Landscapes over 24 months.

With support from a dedicated Skills Coach who will ensure you are on track to complete your work-based learning and academic studies and will have the opportunity to feedback and tailor the programme further.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, overtime available. 7.00am - 4.30pm (Hours may vary).
