Apprentice Maintenance Assistant

General reactive maintenance of all building systems including Steam, Compressed Air plant and services, B.M.S, Heating services & equipment. Maintenance checks of boilers and plantrooms. Assisting technicians with duties as required. Take part in a rotating shift system that involves working late shifts and weekends. General housekeeping of working areas, plantrooms, workshops, stores. Monitor the safe working environment of plantrooms. Maintain radio communication with team leaders and maintenance team. Monitor emergency bleep system when required. Complete jobs and update customers using PDA provided. Assist team with KPI targets, number of jobs per day. Promote health and safety for yourself and others.

Training Outcome:

Further development within NHS Estates team.
