Human Resources Apprentice

To maintain the Single Central Record and HR database, with emphasis on inputting and checking salary, hours, absence and other personnel changes Administrative support of College recruitment e.g. sending interview invitation template emails, sending applications to managers in College To undertake a range of administrative processes to support the HR function with specific emphasis on new starter processes (e.g. checking new starter documentation, completing contracts, ensuring safeguarding checks are complete etc), and absence logging To maintain filing systems, both manual and electronic Engage in the implementation of College Quality systems Show a commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices Show a commitment to ensuring that children and young people learn in a safe environment Ensure that all information is secured, used and maintained in line with internal and external standards including ensuring that confidential information is processed in line with the Data Protection Act and College policies Participate in relevant and appropriate training and development as required These duties may be amended from time to time by the line manager in consultation with the post holder

Training:

Delivery to be completed on-site and 6 hours per week off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work.

Student to complete an Advanced Technical Certificate as a HR Support Level 3 Apprenticeship. Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.

Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.
