Apprentice Mechanical Fitter

Undertake a CITB apprenticeship programme, combining academic study and on-the-job training

Learn and develop competencies in:

Mechanical fitting and assembly Electrical systems (basic diagnostics and installation) Hydraulic systems and high-pressure equipment Fault finding and diagnostics Preventative maintenance Reactive repair work

Assist experienced fitters in:

Maintaining plant and machinery to a high standard Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults efficiently Ensuring equipment is safe and operational

Support both workshop-based and on-site activities, including:

Site visits Remote working assignments Periods away from home when required for training or project work Follow all health & safety procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations Maintain accurate records of work completed and training progress Take responsibility for personal learning and development throughout the apprenticeship

Training:

The apprenticeship training will take place at National Construction College East, Bircham Newton on block release. This is to be confirmed once the apprenticeship has started. 



Training Outcome:

Upon completion of the level 2 apprenticeship, the apprentice can look to complete the level 3 course. After this they can then look into being a qualified Fitter within the plant department.

Aarsleff Ground Engineering Ltd is a UK leading civil engineering sub contractor provided ground engineering techniques to our client base across the UK on their construction sites. Aarsleff GE Ltd is part of a Danish civils engineering group with sister companies throughout Europe. The company has been established in the UK for 30 years.



Working Hours :
Monday to Friday. Standard hours are 39 per week. Shifts to be confirmed.
