Production Operative Apprentice
1. Material handling.
2. Cutting metals on guillotine and circle cutting machines.
3. Set up and operating press machines.
4. Assembly of finished product.
5. Metal Spinning on hand lathe.
6. Set up and operation of PNC machine.
7. Spot welding.
Training:
Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship on the Product Design and Development pathway.
Day release at Sunderland College City Campus.
Training Outcome:
Possibility of a full-time role upon successful completion of apprenticeship.
Employer Description:
We are a small metal spinning company that has been in business for 35 years.
We make products for a wide range of businesses including filter components, the caravan industry and musical instruments.
We all work together as a team with everyone filling in where needed to keep production running smoothly.
Our factory is open from 7am Monday to Thursday with limited public transport available at this time of the morning.
The job can be physically demanding.
Attention to detail is very important to meet customers expectations.
Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm, 32 hours per week with 30 mins each day for lunch.
