Machining Technician Apprentice

The apprenticeship includes manufacturing processes such as Milling, Turning and Hand Fitting/Bench Skills using a range of equipment including CNC and manual machines.

All aspects will involve the production of reports, reading and understanding technical data and drawings.

The apprenticeship has a machinist bias with an expected opportunity at the end of your apprenticeship to join our manufacturing team to produce high quality, precision sealing solutions for the automotive, power generation and aerospace markets The apprentice will be taught, and will have the opportunity to put into practice, skills which will be relevant to successfully complete your apprenticeship The apprentice will earn a salary and achieve recognised qualification(s) whilst gaining practical hands-on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend college as required to achieve the qualification(s) in selected apprenticeship The Apprentice will train at Cross Manufacturing, supported by Bath College, to achieve an industry standard in the chosen apprenticeship whilst also gaining relevant work experience Where appropriate we will involve the apprentice in different areas of the business; this will further enhance skills, knowledge and understanding of our industry

Training:
You will be required to attend college two days per week, term time only at our Somer Valley Campus in Bath

Training Outcome:
There may be an opportunity to continue to study to HNC level

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, hours to be discussed at interview. There may be a requirement to work outside of core hours and weekend working, subject to working time directive.
