Apprentice Service and Repair Engineer
You will learn all health and safety information, your responsibilities and the relevant regulations relating to all aspects of your work
The repair of these complex devices means that there are written procedures and processes, you will need to follow these diligently to ensure the task is carried out correctly
Working alongside experienced technicians, engineers and service personnel, the apprentice will develop the practical and administrative skills required to support the repair, calibration, servicing and logistics of medical equipment
The role combines hands-on workshop experience with a structured apprenticeship program, providing a clear pathway into a technical service career within Healthcare 21
The apprentice will be based at the HC21 Service Centre in Basingstoke and will receive full training, mentoring and support throughout their apprenticeship
This will include attendance at college or training provider sessions, completion of coursework and assessments, and practical workplace learning across multiple service disciplines
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting workshop operations, maintaining service records, assisting with repairs and ensuring equipment is processed efficiently and accurately in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements
Planned preventative Maintenance of the device following defined procedures
Adjustment of Replacement mechanical parts. Testing electrical and electronic components including safety testing
Repairs using learned knowledge to problem solve and resolve issues within your capabilities, these will rapidly expand over time allowing you to solve more complex issues
Assist with goods-in and goods-out processes for customer equipment, repairs, loan equipment and demonstration units
Much of the initial training covering health and safety and how the business works will be carried out in house
This will also apply to entry level basic training, however, with successful progression to advanced systems this may involve travel to Europe for training courses
Training:
Training will take place at Basingstoke College of Technology, one day a week
The rest of your working week will be at work

We have a Country wide network of Sales and Service personnel , supported by our Head Office staff in Basingstoke. We also have Warehouse and a Service centre at this location.
Working Hours :
Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, although flexibility may occasionally be required to support business needs. Shifts to be confirmed.
