Selwood Pump - Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship
During your apprenticeship, you will be working towards the following competencies:
Machining apprenticeship Use both conventional and CNC milling machines and centre lathes to produce components in various materials for use in the assembly of pumps and fabricated bespoke units Ability to read and interpret drawings Use measuring equipment to achieve required quality requirements Maintain a clean and safe work environmentTraining:
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with your employer and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training - in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace Competence Training - in years 2 to 4 in company Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK In house training in line with your requirements Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Machining TechnicianTraining Outcome:
Potential opportunity to continue to HNC upon completion of apprenticeship and further education Opportunity to progress into other areas of business, such as sales, service or engineering design

Working Hours :
Working hours when at Selwood Pump: Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday, 08:00 - 15:30.
