Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

Missions:

To learn all aspects of the role of a Maintenance Engineer To attend college to learn the theoretical and technical aspects of the role
 
General Activities: To shadow the fully trained Engineers in the execution of their duties To learn to carry out repairs & maintenance tasks in a structured & supervised environment To understand the role of the maintenance engineers in the plant To gradually put into practice skills & competencies learned both on & off the job
 

Specific activities:

Shadow fully qualified engineers in the workplace Learn how to complete simple maintenance tasks under close supervision To comply with specific Health, Safety & Environmental legislation

Training:

You will attend York College for 2 days per week in years 1 and 2, and for 1 day per half term in year 3. The remainder of your training will take place in the workplace.



Training Outcome:

Potential opportunity to join our multi-skilled engineering team as a fully qualified engineer, maintaining plant machinery to ensure maximum machine efficiency and minimum production line stoppages.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday between 8am - 4pm.
