Installation & Maintenance Electrician Apprentice

Assist with installing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment Support fault finding, diagnosis and repair of electrical installations Carry out inspection, servicing and planned preventative maintenance Assist with planned and reactive maintenance tasks across Council properties Support rewiring projects and installation of new circuits as skills develop Learn to work safely with electrical, electronic and data systems Complete job records, learning logs and timesheets Attend college, training sessions and complete apprenticeship assessments

Training:

Delivery model:

Work-based training with your employer Day release during term time (approximately 1 day per week for 36 months) Regular meetings with your training coordinator to monitor progress and well-being Approximately 4 on-site assessment visits per year Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at work

Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualificationposite Installation

End Point Assessment: AM2s

Isolation & Risk Assessment Composite Installation Inspection, Testing and Certification Fault Diagnosis and Rectification Applied Knowledge Test

Training Outcome:
On successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship, apprentices will be qualified to work as an electrician and eligible to apply for an ECS Installation / Maintenance Electrician Gold Card Opportunities may be available for continued employment within ODS Property Services
