Personal Advisor - Aftercare Team - OldhamAre you a passionate, dedicated Personal Advisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Personal Advisor to join their Aftercare team.

You will be required to work with young people aged 16-25 years old who are or have been looked after or accommodated by the local authority in order to assist them to live an independent life. Pay Rates: £17 per hour Duration: 30/01/2023 – 4 monthsHours: Monday to Friday, 8.40 – 17.00, 36.66 hrs/week - Office basedPersonal Advisor role: Full JD Available
To carry out the responsibilities and duties for looked after children whilst acting as an advocate for young people.Ensure their involvement in the development Pathway Plans.Maintain strong, trusting working relationships.Support with life skills such as finances and independence.Liase with internal and external organisations in relation to accommodation, education, employment, health and training for the young people.To ensure files and records are accurately maintained, reflecting partnerships with families.You will need to manage a caseload effectively, ensuring provision of written electronic records in line with the council’s systems.Attend meetings where necessary regarding the young people.
Essential Requirements:
Driving Licence, Access to a Vehicle, Business InsuranceNVQ Level 3 in a related subject such as Child Care or Health & Social Care, or equivalentRecent experience of working with young people preferably within a Leaving Care settingKnowledge of the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and 1989 Children’s Act (Children’s Act 2004, Children and Families Act 2014)You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UKEnhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate registered to the update service
