Apprentice Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who will complete their apprenticeship with the college whilst supporting our pupils. The successful candidate will work alongside a strong team to support the learning and progress of our students. The role could require you to work flexibly across the whole school in any year group.

Your day may include:

Providing in-class support Supporting pupils on a 1-2-1 basis Working with small groups

You will be developing an understanding of the special educational needs of the pupils concerned, and ensuring that they can access the lesson at its contents, to promote independent learning, and reinforce their learning.  



Training:

The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. You will attend Tamworth College, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.



Training Outcome:

Candidates would come out of this apprenticeship with a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, and could therefore use this to gain employment in this type of role at any school

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8:30-4:00 (including 1 day at college), with half an hours lunch break.
