An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy in London on a contract basis, operating outside IR35.
This hybrid position involves working within a multidisciplinary building services engineering team, contributing to the delivery of electrical design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing electrical building services designs, producing technical documentation, and supporting coordinated BIM models.
Based in the London office with flexible hybrid working, this role offers the opportunity to be involved in high-quality projects alongside a team of experienced engineers and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Design Engineer, your duties will include:
Delivering electrical building services designs across a range of projectsProducing electrical schematics, layouts, and associated technical documentationSupporting project delivery through multiple RIBA design stagesWorking collaboratively with mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and architectsAssisting with BIM coordination and integration of multidisciplinary designsPreparing and reviewing technical drawings and design calculationsContributing to successful project delivery in line with quality, programme, and technical standardsRequirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within the building services sectorStrong understanding of electrical building services systemsExperience in producing design calculations and technical drawingsProven experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teamsExcellent communication and coordination skillsAbility to support projects across multiple RIBA stagesDesirable Skills
Experience with Revit or other BIM modelling softwareFamiliarity with NavisworksExperience working on commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments
