Childcare Apprenticeship - Level 3

Duties include:

Assist experienced educators in implementing curriculum and activities for children. Provide support in managing classroom dynamics and maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment. Engage with children individually or in small groups to facilitate their learning and development. Assist with daily tasks such as mealtime, naptime, and hygiene routines. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure effective communication and teamwork. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Training Outcome:

Having a passion for working with children and a desire to pursue a career in early childhood education. As well as having a strong drive to learn and grow as an educator.

With a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, you can work in various childcare roles such as nursery nurse, early years practitioner, teaching assistant, or progress to management positions in childcare settings.

Nursery Nurse: Ensures children are safe, healthy, and engaged in stimulating activities, often administering medication and supporting developmental needs alongside other educators. Early Years Practitioner / Nursery Practitioner: Works directly with children aged 0–5, creating learning activities, monitoring progress, and supporting social and emotional development. Nursery Teaching Assistant: Supports nursery teachers in planning and delivering educational activities, supervising children, and providing emotional support. Care Worker (Childcare Specialism): Supervises children in community centres or home settings, overseeing social and physical activities and tending to basic needs.
