Crop technician / General Farm work Apprenticeship

Level 3 Crop technician / General Farm worker.

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own tractor and equipment in line with service and maintenance schedules.

Tasks include:

Topping, muck spreading, mucking out cattle sheds (using teleporter) Bale carting Harvest work Livestock support, Less husbandry, more machine operations. Spraying, (once qualified)

The role includes working on your own at times.

Operating farm vehicles on the road (min age 18).

Long Hours.



Training:
The course is a block release, based out of easton campus of City College Norwich, aprox one week in five spent at the college The remaining 80% of your time spent on the farm working and gaining experience

Training Outcome:
There will be oportunities to move into specialised areas of farm work upon completion

Training & Apprenticeships in Construction Ltd (TrAC) is a DfE approved Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agency who will employ you for the duration of the apprenticeship and pay your salary. You should be aware that you will be placed with a host employer but you will not be employed by them. Your placement may change during the course of your apprenticeship but TrAC will employ you throughout, as well as continuing to support you into employment or further learning at the end of your apprenticeship.



Working Hours :
Working week can vary especially around harvest times. Flexibility is required. Shifts will be posted in advance of work.
