Dental Nurse Apprentice
Working alongside the dentist, taking instructions from them
Maintaining good infection control procedures
Ensuring the cleanliness of surgery, equipment and instruments
Dictate information from the dentist
Arrange appointments, answer calls and input data
Ensure records are kept up to date and maintain confidentiality at all times
Training:
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Dental Nursing apprenticeship provides you with the qualifications and skills required to work within the field of a dental nurse
This is an online training programme with weekly online teaching sessions
The training schedule has yet to be agreed upon, further details will be made available at a later date
Once qualified, you can register as a dental nurse with the General Dental Council
Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
Training Outcome:
There is a wide range of opportunities available to enable registered dental nurses to extend their clinical duties and develop their knowledge and skills within particular areas of interest, for example:
