Precision People is proud to be working with a leading developer and supplier of specialist applications.
This growing business supplies local authorities and are looking for a Technical Sales Executive to support the sales arm of the business in the UK.
This includes visiting at the pre-sales stage through to the after sale support consisting of and other areas of support to ensure optimal conditions.
Other suitable titles could include: Technical Sales Engineer, Area Sales, Technical Salesperson, Sales Representative, Business to Business Sales, Regional Sales, Sales Advisor, Sales Consultant, Account Executive , Account Manager
Duties will include:
- Covering UK wide travel liaising with clients and customers within a variety of Police Authorities, MOD and local authorities sectors
- Working from home but travelling to customer sites UK-wide once or twice per week
- Identify new business opportunities to increase revenue & profitability
- Maintain existing client base
- B2B business to business sales
- Have a good understanding of the Companys products and be able to sell products & services Cold calling
- Generation of leads from cold calling activities
- Meet with customers face to face
- Develop & maintain customer relationships
- Define customer needs and respond effectively
- Generate customer quotations responding within suitable time frames
- After sales service & follow up
- Attend seminars, conferences & events where necessary
- Keep abreast of changing trends in the industry
- Customer feedback & reporting
- Responsible for generating your own leads and appointments through your own prospecting activities.
- Use of global CRM system for lead and activity tracking
Key Attributes
- Must have experience of selling into a local authority or similar (Police, Council, Fire, NHS etc)
- Knowledge of ANPR, Radar & Lidar Technologies would be extremely beneficial
- Extensive sales experience (Minimum of 5 years)
- Excellent telephone manner for initial contact with prospective & existing customers
- Public speaking skills and excellent presentation skills
- Self-motivated & target driven with the ability to set & achieve your own goals
- Strong negotiating skills
- Team working skills & collaborative approach to work
- Interpersonal skills for developing relationships with all Stakeholders
- IT skills including the use of spreadsheets & sales programs
- In depth knowledge of sales strategies, product demonstration & sales reporting
- Proficient in using smartphones & digital technologies to enhance communication amongst all Stakeholders of the business
- Full, clean and current driving licence (essential)
- A willingness to travel (must have a valid passport)
