Location: New Milton, Hampshire
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOE
Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week
Service: 2 x 2-Bed EBD Children’s Homes
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee the operation of two 2-bed EBD children’s homes, located approximately one mile apart in the New Milton area.
This opportunity would suit either an established Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager looking to step up, provided they already hold their Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of both homes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and full compliance with all relevant legislation and Ofsted requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of both children’s homesEnsure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015)Promote positive outcomes and high standards of emotional and physical care for young peopleDevelop and maintain effective care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding practicesBuild positive relationships with young people, families, professionals, and external agenciesProvide strong leadership, motivation, and development to the staff teamsConduct supervisions, appraisals, and performance managementLead recruitment and ensure robust safer recruitment practices are followedOversee staff training and development to ensure high-quality practiceMonitor incidents, identify lessons learned, and implement service improvementsManage budgets, resources, and ensure the homes remain safe and well maintainedParticipate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support when requiredEnsure policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards are fully implementedRequirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (Essential)Previous experience within children’s residential careStrong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding proceduresExperience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skillsAbility to lead and inspire teams to achieve positive outcomesFull UK Driving Licence preferredWhat’s on Offer
