Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider | Commercial Building | Croydon | £45,000 + Package
CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based at a prestigious commercial building in Croydon, Surrey. Working as part of a close-knit on-site team of three engineers, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks across the building.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Facilities Management and a proven track record in mechanical building maintenance. Key Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain mechanical plant equipmentCarry out work on pumps, motors, seals, and bearingsService and maintain air conditioning systems, including Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs) — filter changes, cleaning, and general upkeepConduct water treatment checks, including temperature monitoring (non-dosing)Undertake plumbing tasks such as unblocking drains and toilets, replacing taps, washers, and general pipework repairsMonitor and respond to BMS (Building Management System) alarms and readingsCarry out basic electrical duties, including lamp replacementsMaintain general building fabric and carry out minor repairsEscort and supervise specialist subcontractors on siteRequirements
