Engineering Apprentice

You will learn all aspects of mechanical engineering, including, milling, turning, boring, CNC machining and fitting, as well as how to read engineering drawings.

Developing a knowledge of all aspects of mechanical engineering. Developing an understanding of machine practices. Undertaking milling, turning, boring and grinding tasks as appropriate. Utilising machining practices across both CNC and manual machines. Learning to read and work from Engineering drawings. Developing a knowledge of all aspects of mechanical engineering. Developing an understanding of machine practices. Undertaking milling, turning, boring and grinding tasks as appropriate. Utilising machining practices across both CNC and manual machines. Learning to read and work from Engineering drawings.

Training:

1 day per week at college, 4 days in the workplace.



Training Outcome:

There are opportunities for progression within the role for the right candidates upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. We also offer support with further engineering qualifications such as HNC.



Employer Description:

K C Engineering Bearings Ltd is a white metal bearing repair and manufacturing company. Manufacturing is predominately made to order according to customer designs and specifications. Repair of bearings components are either according to drawings or from inwards inspection of damaged components. This results in a huge amount of product variety, complexity and customer requirements.



Working Hours :
37 hrs per week. Days and times to be confirmed.
