Warehouse Apprentice

Main job purpose: Efficient receiving and checking of goods coming into the warehouse and ensuring that all goods are correctly located. Picking and packing of orders to meet the customer’s requirements and satisfaction.

1. Receiving and booking in of deliveries and goods
2. Putting away and locating of stock ensuring that the location accuracy is 100% for new and existing parts
3. Picking and packing of customer orders ready for despatch in line with the customer’s requirements & satisfaction. Ensuring accurate selection of parts and quantities and maintenance of inventory
4. Dealing with internal and external customers on the trade counter
5. Effectively communicate with other departments within the business
6. Basic usage of computer systems, including data input into stock management system
7. Complete daily KPI’s as required
8. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with work orders and meets the requirements of ISO9001, HSEQ directives and is in accordance with MPS procedures and work instructions. To work in accordance with the rules, regulations and health & safety requirements as set out in the employee handbook

Training: 1- 2 days a week will be spent doing off the job training/course work, whilst the other days will be spent doing the practical learning about warehousing.



Training:
This programme is delivered via a block release delivery model. You will be working to complete a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship standard, including any required Functional Skills You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession You will experience a blended learning model

Training Outcome:

Should the apprentice successfully complete their apprenticeship, and we are happy with their progression and ability to do the work set out as part of their training, we would offer the apprentice permanent employment.

Mitchell Powersystems is an engineering company that specialises in diesel engines, automatic transmissions, driveline systems and power solutions. Our head office and main workshop is based in Sutton in Ashfield, but our engineers work nationwide, supporting customers wherever they are in the UK.
We supply, service, repair and overhaul diesel engines and automatic transmissions, along with the related parts and systems that keep machines moving.
Our customers operate in industries such as construction, agriculture, power generation, marine, transport and emergency services.



Working Hours :
Monday- Friday 8.15am- 4.45pm. 10 minute break at 10am and 30 minutes for lunch at 12.30pm.
