Early Years Apprentice

• Interact with children throughout the day, supporting their play, learning and well-being
• Supervise and keep children safe and happy during activities and routines
• Support a practitioner with a key worker group, including observations and learning journeys
• Assist with planning and delivering activities across the nursery
• Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety
• Help with daily routines such as cleaning, preparing equipment and keeping rooms tidy
• Carry out care routines including nappy changes, toileting, feeding and comforting children
• Support children during meals and snacks
• Build positive relationships with parents and contribute to key group communication
• Work closely with the room leader and wider team to maintain high‑quality care and learning

Training:

Training for this apprenticeship will be delivered by Connect2Early Years, with regular support from a dedicated trainer throughout the programme. Training will take place in the workplace, with sessions arranged directly with the trainer.

Training Outcome:

After completing the apprenticeship, you can progress into a permanent Early Years Practitioner role. With experience, you may develop into positions such as Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or Deputy Manager as you continue to build your skills and confidence in Early Years.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, working onsite at the nursery. Shifts will be arranged within nursery opening hours and may vary.
