Sports Coach Apprenticeship
Job description and duties The learner will be expected to perform the following:
Help deliver Sports sessions within school, as well as during after school club sessions Be expected to be able to plan and deliver Sports sessions after guidance and experience gained To comply with child protection, health and safety and work within a caring and professional coaching environment To assist the head coach during sessions, learning the coaching role whilst doing so Referee Sports matches within sessions Be a role model to young participants To have enthusiasm towards coaching and basic knowledge of football as a minimumTraining:
The apprentice will receive full on the job training from the employer as well as 20% off the job training The apprentice will also receive a full wrap around service from SCL
Training Outcome:
The apprentice can progress on to a teaching qualification if desired, once they have completed their apprenticeship
