Apprentice Bench Joiner

Key Responsibilities: 

Assist with the manufacture and assembly of timber joinery products   Learn to operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely   Read and interpret drawings, cutting lists, and setting out details   Prepare materials and components for production   Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment   Support experienced joiners with routine workshop tasks   Follow all company health and safety procedures   Store tools, materials, and equipment correctly after use   Work to quality standards and production deadlines  

Training:

Carpentry and Joinery Level 2.

To attend day release at Bishop Auckland College.



Training Outcome:

Full-time position for the right candidate.

Appletree Joinery Products Ltd is a well-established specialist manufacturer of bespoke timber kitchen accessories based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. Founded in 1985, the company operates from Howden Road on the Aycliffe Business Park, focusing on producing panels, cabinets, and components.



Working Hours :
Monday-Thursday 6.30am - 4.45pm, 4-day working week. Please note that due to working week, applicant who is 16-18 years old the working hours will differ to those advertised. The working week will be 30-hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7 am - 4pm.
