Apprentice Nursery Assistant
Supporting children’s play and learning activities, helping them develop language, social skills, and confidence through structured and free play
Assisting with daily care routines such as feeding, nappy changing, toileting, and helping children settle at rest times
Observing children’s development and recording progress under the guidance of a qualified practitioner
Helping to set up and tidy learning environments, including preparing resources and activities
Supporting meal and snack times, encouraging good manners and independence
Working as part of a team to follow safeguarding, health & safety, and early years framework requirements
Training:
Apprentices will be allocated a Trainer Assessor and training will be
planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet
the individual needs of the apprentice.
The apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours in off the job
activities and training.
On the job and off the job training will be delivered in the
workplace.
Training Outcome:
Progression onto the Early Years Educator Level 3 apprenticeship and continue working at the setting.

support and guidance where required
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday between the hours of 07.30 and 18.00
