Engineering Metal Fabricator/Welder apprenticeship

Training across each area to provide an understanding of the systems, procedures and processes. Hands on shop floor role, developing your detailed knowledge of welding and fabricating of vessels and hard surfacing of wear parts. Developing your practical hands on skills to become competent in the safe efficient operating of all machinery and equipment and the accurate timely production of the total range of products. A normal day would include:

Our Apprentice would work through all areas to develop a sound knowledge of the full range of company products and manufacturing processes. The role is a workshop based apprenticeship, but you will also work in conjunction with all internal departments when required to provide assistance in other areas to ensure production is maintained to required levels. Working correctly at all times to the company Environmental, ISO quality and H&S procedures. Producing and maintaining accurate records in accordance with role requirements. Demonstrating continual commitment to develop your skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship.

Training:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve the Level 3 Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship Standard qualification.

Training will be delivered by a combination of all round training in the workplace and will also involve attending college one day a week at Hopwood Hall College (Middleton Campus). You will be assigned a 'work-based tutor' from Hopwood Hall College who will support you through your qualification.



Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship there is opportunity to progress within the company in the longer term. The company are looking for people who want to learn, grow and thrive in the organisation.

Working Hours :
8.00am - 4.30pm or 7.00am to 3.30pm, Monday to Thursday. 8.00am - 1.00pm or 7.00am to 12.00pm, Friday. Lunch is fixed from 12.30pm to 1.00pm, Monday to Thursday.
