Apprentice Engineering Fitter

Main roles and responsibilities:

Manufacture and assembly of mechanical and electrical components from various materials Mechanical and electrical assembly of Inverters, furnaces, hydraulic desks, fans, pumps and cooling systems Working alongside existing engineers both in the workshop and on-site during installation work Once fully trained as a mechanical/electrical fitter to assist with manufacture, assembly, installation, service and repair on all types of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment manufactured by the company

Training:
The learner will be studying the Engineering Fitter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification Day release to West Suffolk College

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship a full-time position will be offered to the candidate. There will be further in house and on-site training and the opportunity to progress within the company.



Employer Description:
Manufacture and installation of Induction melting equipment. IGBT inverters up to 2mw, furnaces up to 5000kg capacity plus all water-cooling systems, hydraulics and pneumatics to suit. Installation mainly throughout the UK.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday - 08:00 - 17:00 - Friday 08:00 - 14:30 - 30-minutes lunch.
