Level 3 Early Years Educator in a Nursery – Apprentice Nursery Assistant

Your role will include:

Working with children between the ages of 0-5 years, organising activities, being proactive with the help and care carried out within the early years teaching sector Assisting and meeting the personal/emotional needs of individual children - changing nappies, feeding, caring and establishing a relationship with children Work (under supervision), providing all aspects of care/support to children, ensuring they take part in day-to-day learning and play activities Ensure that the setting is safe, clean and well-presented Collaborate with colleagues, ensuring the highest standards of work are carried out and are provided throughout your role in a positive manner To contribute to a high-quality caring environment for children by creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities Attend team meetings and contribute relevant ideas Be able to understand and implement the setting’s confidentiality policy Contribute towards an effective and supportive team environment

Training:
Early Years Educator Level 3 Training will include paediatric first aid qualification

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.



Training Outcome:
When you have successfully completed your Apprenticeship, you may have the opportunity to continue with an exciting career in childcare Initially you will be working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare

St Peters Day Nursery is a purpose-built setting and has three classrooms. Children have access to outside play areas from all rooms. We welcome children with particular needs and difficulties and for whom English is an additional language. We serve the local community and are open for 5 days per week. We open from 8.00am – 6.00 pm offering full and part-time places and accept the 15 and 30-hour funding for those who are eligible. We work in partnership with our parents we achieve this by listening and acting upon our discussions, ensuring the child's individual needs and requirements are fully met. Our management team is passionate about ensuring all children are given the best possible start to life and have the same life opportunities. Through the Foundation Degree and BA Early Years degree, our managers have become reflective practitioners, questioning and evaluating what they do and why on a daily basis. Our practitioners have high aspirations for their key children, and are exceptionally skilled at meeting their individual needs.  We have a culture of "can do", both with the staff and children. Effective observations and assessments ensure that the child's voice is paramount in our planning. Our practitioners "hear" what they say and provide stimulating, attractive and inspiring activities and areas within the setting for the children to investigate, learn and take appropriate risks. The learning environment is ever evolving to meet the current interests and needs of the children.



Working Hours :
Monday - Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
