Working on-site assisting with the preparation for painting & decorating Prepare surfaces (sanding, cleaning, measuring) ready for work Use tools and materials alongside experienced tradespeople Support different projects, from homes to large developments Follow health & safety practices on site Work as part of a team with other trades and site managers Interact with customers and learn professional communication Keep work areas clean and organised Learn new skills daily through hands-on tasks

Training:
You will attend college training two days per month at Greenlight Safety & Training, where you’ll learn the core skills needed for flooring This includes understanding tools, materials and construction methods, as well as developing strong health and safety awareness You’ll also build your English and maths skills, gain industry knowledge to support your work on-site, and work towards a recognised qualification with support from experienced tutors

Training Outcome:
After completing this Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship, you can progress onto a Level 2 Tiling Apprenticeship, where you’ll build more advanced skills This can lead to a career as a qualified tiler working on a variety of residential and commercial projects, with opportunities to progress into specialist roles, supervision, or self-employment as you gain experience

Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30, some weekend work may be required.
