Trainee Electrical Fitting & Assembly Apprentice

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification.

You will be trained in assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical components and systems, working alongside experienced engineers and technicians in a production environment.

Duties will include:

Assist in the assembly and wiring of electrical components, control panels, and sub-assemblies Interpret and work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics Carry out cable preparation, routing, and termination to required standards Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively Support inspection and testing processes, including basic electrical testing and fault identification Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment Always adhere to company quality standards and health & safety procedures

Training:
Apprentices will undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard programme Engineering Fitter This will include a full-time period of practical workshop based ‘off-the-job’ training at SETA’s Apprenticeship Centre in Southampton. You will also undertake a knowledge qualification (depending on your prior attainments) where you will be required to attend SETA one day a week over two academic years After your initial training at SETA, you will be with your employer working on developing your skills in relation to your job role

Monday - Thursday, 7.00am - 4.00pm and Friday, 7.00am - 2.00pm
