Area Manager (Nursing)
An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen or a dedicated Area Manager to oversee and support several care homes covering the South West region.
You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers
You will ideally be based in either the Oxfordshire or Gloucestershire area, be flexible, be prepared for regular overnights stays and travel throughout our network of homes
**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RGN Nurse with a valid NMC Pin and hold and NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care.
Care Home Management role with at least 3 years’ experience preferably multi-site experience**
As an Area Manager your key responsibilities include:
Reporting to our Director of Operations, you will be supporting our network of homes in the South West & South of England; proactively working with each Home Manager and their care teams, ensuring quality care is provided to our residents whilst promoting their interests and ensuring a person-centred service is always provided
You will be continually driving standards to ensure that company’s business objectives and the Care Quality Commission compliance criteria are met.
Supporting managers to ensure optimum occupancy is maintained in each home as well as maintaining and increasing staffing levels and passing on your breadth of knowledge and understanding of leading an exceptional care service
You will be actively promoting good working relationships and collaborating with home managers and external stakeholders to ensure our services are well maintained, whilst identifying action planning and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Experience of care improvement planning and financial management
You must have a proven track record in the management and delivery of high-quality care within a residential care home setting
A confident leader who enjoys a challenge & has the natural ability to lead, motivate and inspire your team
Have excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
Experience and knowledge of working in dementia care
Full UK Driving Licence
The successful Area Manager will receive an excellent salary an amazing salary of £70,000 per annum DOE.
This exciting position is a Full Time role working through Day Shifts.
