Apprentice CAD Technician

Producing technical and presentation drawings for transport and civil engineering projects using CAD software Supporting the design of highways, drainage and infrastructure improvements on live UK development projects Working alongside experienced engineers and transport planners to develop practical engineering and design skills Learning how to prepare highway layouts, vehicle tracking drawings and site access strategies Undertaking site visits, surveys and technical assessments to support project delivery Using industry software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other design tools Assisting with project documentation, drawing management and quality assurance processes Collaborating with architects, clients and other design professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team Developing knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, health and safety and BIM principles Gaining hands on experience whilst working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification

Training:
2 ½ Year Apprenticeship Programme Civil Engineering, Knowledge, skills and Behaviours - delivered in the workplace Level 3 BTEC in Civil Engineering - Day Release or Remote Delivery Specialist Training Programme Blocks of your choice End Point Assessment - Knowledge Test, Practical Test and Presentation / Interview Specialist Training in industry software

Training Outcome:

Possible progression onto planning and/or engineering roles.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm with 1 hour lunch break.
