Dental Hygienist/Therapist

DENTAL HYGIENIST OR HYGIENIST/THERAPIST REQUIRED IN STOKE ON TRENT AT A PRIVATE PRACTICE

The role is to cover predominantly Hygiene work, however they will also consider candidates that are dual qualified as a Dental Therapist
To work 2-3 days per week, flexible on days
Working hours: 9am- 5pm
Start date: July 2026
Offering 35%-40%
Working on a self employed basis
30 minute appointments for conventional hygiene, 40 minute appointments for the rest
Working with a nurse
Established patient list in place
All candidates must have UK experience to apply

3 surgeries
Fully Private practice
Dentally software, digital radiographs on site
Street parking available next to the practice

Core responsibilities:

1. Periodontal Assessment & Diagnosis
• Conduct comprehensive gum health assessments
• Stage and diagnose periodontal disease in line with practice protocol
• Work within the structured periodontal assessment pathway
• Maintain accurate, compliant and contemporaneous clinical records

2. EMS Guided Biofilm Therapy
• Deliver EMS Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) as the core hygiene protocol
• Adhere to established workflow standards
• Ensure consistency of service delivery across the hygiene team

3. Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy
• Provide non-surgical periodontal treatment
• Deliver structured stabilisation plans
• Monitor and review long-term periodontal outcomes

4. Maintenance & Plan Patients
• Manage long-term stabilisation of plan patients
• Maintain strong rebooking compliance
• Support patient retention through education and continuity

5. Inbound New Patient Assessments
• Conduct structured periodontal assessments for inbound private patients
• Present findings clearly, ethically and confidently
• Follow defined treatment pathways while applying clinical judgement
