Apprentice Machining Technician Level 3 - Impress Group
Assist in the setup and operation of CNC and manual machining equipment
Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical
Support the production of precision components using milling, turning, and drilling processes
Work with a variety of materials, including metals and alloys
Carry out basic machine maintenance and tooling changes as training progresses
Use measuring equipment (e.g., callipers, micrometres) to ensure accuracy and quality
Support senior machinists with day-to-day workshop activities
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Participate in ongoing training and attend college as part of the apprenticeship programme
Training:
4 days per week at Impress Group.
1 day per week at Newcastle College.
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a full-time Machining Technician or CNC Programmer role, with further training and development available.
