Assisting in preparing and cooking dishes with guidance from our senior chefs

Supporting with deliveries, food storage, and stock rotation

Training:
Level 2 Commis Chef apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required

Bagdale Hall Hotel is located in the centre of Whitby. Close to the beautiful beach and surrounded by the North York Moors, Bagdale is the perfect base from which to explore North Yorkshire. Bagdale Hall was built in 1516 for the Conyers, who were at the time one of the most important families in Whitby. The hall was described at the time as being surrounded by green fields. It was partly bordered on one side by Bagdale Beck. The hall grounds extended up river as far as the current high-level bridge. Enjoy our comfortable and spacious rooms, packed with period features, and a delicious cooked or continental breakfast. Our restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday.
