Installations Electrician Apprentice

As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll gain hands-on experience in electrical installations, servicing, and maintenance, working alongside experienced electricians and other professionals

Daily Duties & Responsibilities:

Attend College Day Release: Participate in all scheduled college training sessions and complete the necessary coursework and assignments for your apprenticeship Assisting with Installations & Maintenance: Support your assigned Line Manager/mentor in the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Assist in identifying and troubleshooting electrical faults, and help with the repair of electrical systems in various settings Electrical System Installation: Assist with the installation and maintenance of lighting, power distribution networks, and other electrical systems for new builds or renovations Ensuring Compliance: Help ensure that all electrical installations meet the relevant local codes, standards, and regulations Adhering to Safety Procedures: Follow established safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment and minimise risk during all electrical tasks Conducting Safety Inspections: Assist in performing safety inspections of electrical systems to verify compliance with regulatory requirements System Upgrades and Replacements: Support the replacement of outdated wiring and electrical components to ensure systems meet the latest safety standards and performance expectations

Training:
You will be pursuing a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard as Installation Electrician, through Weston College As part of this program, you will attend Weston College as instructed by the college An assessor will conduct on-site observations to evaluate your progress, as well as support you in college throughout your apprenticeship At the conclusion of your program, your qualification will be assessed through an End Point Assessment

Training Outcome:

We would like to see all our apprentices moving on to have their own team when they are fully qualified,

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday: 8:30am-5pm Breaks and lunchtime: 1 hour.
