Apprentice - Aircraft Maintenance Technician GBR

As an Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice, you will embark on a structured program combining classroom learning and hands-on experience, designed to equip you with the expertise to become a certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic in just 36 months!

Engage in a comprehensive 36-month Apprentice program, including block-release classroom instruction at Farnborough College of Technology. Under direct supervision, acquire practical aircraft maintenance experience (on-job-training) at United Airlines’ facilities at Heathrow Airport and, potentially, in the U.S. Learn and apply maintenance skills across various areas, including Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Electrical Principles, Sheetmetal, Gas Turbine Engines, Structures, Aircraft Systems, Human Factors in Aircraft Engineering, and Aircraft Maintenance Practices.

 

Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you may be qualified to become an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT). The expected progression at this stage is the attainment of your Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licence, which United will support you through. This would be in readiness to hold your airworthiness release, whereby you can release aircraft, signing them off as airworthy.

Working Hours :
Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, potential to work shifts, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
