Supply Chain Project Lead Up to £50,000 (DOE) Monday - Friday Clevedon The Candidate
CIPS level 4 or equivalent qualification or equivalent through experienceMinimum of 3 years experience in Project or Management capacity.Experience with Continuous Improvement Projects.
Such as Lean Six Sigma.Lean Six Sigma Minimum White Belt, Green Belt (Desirable)Project management qualification would be desirable.
Preferably Prince 2, APM certified or equivalent
Make proposals of Continuous Improvement Projects to the Supply Chain Manager.Review current working practices, establishing improvement opportunities and cost saving opportunities.Ensure the Supply Chain project meets its performance and timescale objectives as defined by Supply Chain Strategy.Create cross-functional project plans encompassing all the tasks required to deliver the project, aligned to the desired outcome i.e.
cost saving activity.Plan projects and agree timescale with the Supply Chain Manager.Ensure all the required resource and skills are made available to deliver the project and its milestones and ensure adherence to agreed dates.Highlight resource and / or planning issues in advance to the Supply Chain Manager.Lead the Project team’s activities through a centrally visibly plan, regularly reporting progress, dealing with exceptions, and escalating as appropriate.Ensure that the project plan is monitored any deviance is mitigated by immediate intervention or is escalated to the Supply Chain Manager.Identify risks to the project, their management and production of mitigation plans.Oversee the team’s workload / activities, ensuring correct prioritisation and delivery of milestones in a fast paced and complex environment.Allocate the work and track resource utilisation levels across the team.Define, update, track, and report on project performance.Attend and run all required meetings to enable the project’s success and project completion meets success factors agreed by the Supply Chain Manager.Forge close working relationships with all relevant stakeholders, Supply chain team and internal customers such as Production, dependent on project requirements and needs.Continuously find ways to improve communication, both within the supply chain team and communication from supply chain to the wider business.
