What You’ll Be Doing
As the technical lead for geotechnical engineering, you’ll play a key role in managing ground-related risks and delivering practical, buildable solutions across projects from early feasibility through to construction.
Your responsibilities will include:Leading ground investigation strategies, procurement, and interpretationProducing and reviewing geotechnical designs, reports, and specifications (Eurocode 7, BS standards)Managing geotechnical risk across the full project lifecycleMentoring junior engineers and providing technical oversightActing as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teamsSupporting bids, proposals, and commercial discussionsPromoting safe, sustainable, and innovative engineering practicesEmbedding ESG principles into project delivery and decision-making
What We’re Looking ForChartered status (CGeol or CEng) preferredDegree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology is highly desirableStrong experience in ground investigation, lab testing, and geotechnical analysis toolsA track record of delivering projects across multiple sectorsClear and confident communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex conceptsWillingness to travel to sites and occasional office locationsFull UK driving licence due to site travel
Nice to HaveExperience in solar PV, structural steel, or modular constructionExposure to innovation programmes, product development, or ESG frameworks
