Maintenance Machinist Apprentice

Working with the Maintenance Machinist on a wide range of machining projects from machine repairs to new tooling. Carrying out risk assessments. Use barcode readers. Look after maintenance machinery by carrying out routine cleaning and inspections. Work with a manufacturing engineer to produce tool blanks. Work with the office engineering department to produce 1 off samples and test and development fittings Dealing with contractors

Training:

Training will take place at Basingstoke College of Technology 1 day per week.

PLP is a global company designing and manufacturing equipment for electricity transmission and distribution, telecoms and renewables industries. PLP GB utilises a diverse range of technology including our robot called Stan, Injection Moulding, Metal Casting and 5 axis CNC machining. Our factory uses AI- Machine Vision, Advanced Scanning, 3D modelling, 3D Prototyping and simulation processes.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday: 07:45 to 17:00. Friday - 07:45 to 12:45.
