Zest Optical Recruitment are working with a highly regarded independent Opticians in Market Harborough to recruit an experienced Optical Assistant to join their friendly, professional team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well respected independent practice with a loyal patient base and a genuine focus on quality eye care and personalised dispensing. The practice offers a calm, unrushed environment where patient experience always comes first.

The role would suit an Optical Assistant with at least 3 years recent optical experience who enjoys dispensing, building relationships with patients, and working as part of a close knit team.

Optical Assistant Role

Fully independent Opticians with a strong focus on personalised care Supporting patients throughout the full dispensing journey Helping patients choose frames and lenses suited to their needs Adjustments, fittings, repairs, and collections Providing knowledgeable advice on eyewear and lens options Supporting the day to day running of the practice Single testing room practice with a calm, unrushed feel Loyal, experienced team who genuinely support each other Practice open Monday to Friday only Working hours 9am to 5.30pm Flexible working pattern available Open to 3, 4 or 5 days per week

Salary and Package

£25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience No weekends Stable, supportive working environment Opportunity to work in a respected independent practice

Optical Assistant Requirements

Minimum 3 years recent optical experience Confident supporting dispensing and patient care Passion for eyewear and customer service Strong communication and organisational skills Friendly and professional manner Team player who enjoys working in a close knit environment
