What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing and cooking healthy, balanced meals for around 65–70 children and 20–25 staffDelivering meals on time, following structured menus with care and creativityAdapting dishes to meet allergies, dietary needs, and cultural preferencesWorking closely with a kitchen assistant to keep daily operations running smoothlyTaking full responsibility for a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen and dining spaceKeeping all equipment, utensils, and storage areas spotless and in orderMonitoring kitchen supplies, reducing waste, and ensuring stock is always maintainedUpholding high food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all timesMaintaining accurate records for cleaning, food safety, and temperature checksCommunicating clearly with team members and management to support a positive environment

What We’re Looking For

Experience cooking for large groups in a Nursery or School kitchenConfidence managing a kitchen independently and leading daily operationsStrong knowledge of food hygiene and safety practicesExcellent organisation and attention to detailReliable, proactive, and able to work well within a teamGood level of spoken and written English
