Quality Apprentice

Daily/Weekly Tasks: 

Advocate for quality practice and governance across the organisation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement effective quality systems. Conduct internal meetings to review and report on quality performance. Gather, analyse, and interpret quality performance data. Carry out audits and inspections across products, processes, and systems. Support stakeholder visits, including customers, suppliers, and certification bodies. Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the business. Support and help develop individuals within and outside the Quality function. Perform measurement and analysis of products during production. Investigate quality issues in production and warehousing, including customer complaints. Conduct audits of management systems, product quality, safety, environment, and energy compliance. Investigate accidents, near misses, and workplace hazards. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality-related activities. Create and communicate Quality Alerts when issues are identified. Apply knowledge of ISO management systems in quality processes. Participate in training related to Business Improvement Techniques, Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental practices.

Training:

This is a level 4 Quality Practitioner apprenticeship delivered over a period of 21-months

The apprentice would be required to attend the training centre for a one-week block, followed by 7 x 1 day per week workshops at the training centre and attending meetings with an assessor, at the company, one day per month

The training provider is In-Comm Training Services. You will attend the Aldridge WS9 8UG site



Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, a full-time position will be available at the company, within the quality team of SWISH as part of EPWIN Group.



Employer Description:

Swish Building Products is probably the best-known UK manufacturer of roofline and cladding products. Many people still recognise the Swish name from the days when it was closely associated with curtain tracks and poles, but that was a long time ago, and today there is no connection between the two businesses.

Swish is now part of the Epwin Group of businesses that supplies fascias, cladding, windows doors, decking and many other low maintenance building products to the new build, social housing and domestic refurbishment markets.
