Mechatronics Multi-skilled Apprentice

Working alongside experienced and qualified staff, you will learn all aspects of Mechanical/Electrical (Multi-skilled) Maintenance. With appropriate training and supervision, you will work towards being responsible for a wide and varied range of role-related tasks.

Carrying out planned and preventative checks and maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair, use internal PC system to ensure faults and repairs are logged and recorded accurately, work cohesively with the management teams, providing predictive, preventative and corrective support and maintenance for production equipment. Assist with trials and development, carry out reasonable instructions from Lead Engineers and Managers involvement in multi-skilling duties as appropriate.

Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental standards are maintained.



Training:

You will work toward achieving Level 3 Mechatronics qualification, attending our training centre on block release followed by day release for training and Further Education.

The remainder of your time will be spent with your employer.

You will be supported through your apprenticeship.

NWTC will deliver your training and monitor you regularly to ensure you achieve the standards required including core skills knowledge & behaviours in preparation for gateway/end point assessment.



Training Outcome:
At the end of the apprenticeship, candidates will be suitably trained and continue their employment dependent on the business needs at the time. Further in-house and external training and developments are available. Potential L4 / HNC for the right candidate at the right time.

Working Hours :
Working hours with company 37.5 hrs, starting at 8am, finish time 4pm, 30mins unpaid lunch. Earlier finish on Friday as college is slightly longer.
